Room for rent in Columbia City

A downstairs bedroom is available in this well laid out home. The house has three bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and 1 kitchen on both the upper and lower levels. The available room has wood paneling and a wood tile ceiling. It is about 12 X 12ft. You and one other roommate would share the downstairs kitchen and bath. We all share the common dining and living area upstairs as well as the living area downstairs. We have a large side patio and a backyard with a patio and territorial view. The location is ideal as we are 1 block off the main strip in Columbia City and about 4 blocks from Hillman, meaning restaurants, bars, gyms, breweries, coffee shops, live music, the Library, post office, banks, bakeries and PCC are all in walking distance. We're about 1 mile from the lake and the Light rail. Accessing the airport, downtown Seattle, and UW are easy by light rail or bus.

The people here make for good roommates. We try to keep common areas clean, but understand occasional slip ups. We're social, but the house is typically quiet by 10. We hang out from time to time. Basically, we respect each other's space and lives. We're in our mid 20s to 30s. A mix of women and men currently live here.

The room for rent is $750/month. Bills are split equally and end up costing ~100/month for shared bills (Internet, WSG, electricity, Hulu, Netflix). The lease is for 6 months and then converts to a month to month agreement. It's not technically rent controlled, but the landlady has never raised the rent on anyone.

The room is available April 1st and there is some flexibility in this date. If you're interested, we'll have you over to see the house and meet with some roommates. The room will be held once someone has gotten the thumbs up from the downstairs roommate, passed the background/credit check (650 on MyRental. com), paid the $25 background/credit check, and $500 deposit.
