I’m looking for a roommate to share my apartment on historic Liberty Street — a quiet, beautiful spot just 1½ blocks from Dolores Park and 2 blocks from Valencia Street.

The apartment is well-maintained, full of natural light, and features a deck with lovely views and a working fireplace. The building has great character and a friendly atmosphere.

Transportation is very convenient:

1½ blocks from the J-Church train
3 blocks from the 33 bus and tech bus stops
5 blocks from BART
3–4 blocks from Mission Street and 22 Fillmore buses

Neighborhood highlights: Tons of restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, parks, and cultural activities all within walking distance.

About the space:
The available bedroom rents for $1,600/month, plus utilities (about $120 for PG&E and internet). Water and garbage are included.

Security deposit: $1,800
Lease: Ideally looking for a temporary roommate situation. Min. 3 months / Max. 6-10.
Laundry: Washer/dryer in the building
Parking: Surprisingly easy in the neighborhood
No pets or smoking

The dining room currently shown in photos as empty will have the sofa and TV relocated there to open up space for the second bedroom. I don’t watch much TV and am flexible about where it goes.

About me:
I’m a 49-year-old male working 9-to-5 in the education field. I’m quiet and respectful at home, but I enjoy the occasional shared dinner or casual hangout. I live a healthy lifestyle, practice yoga, and play beach volleyball.

Ideal roommate: Someone with a full-time job or steady income who’s responsible, considerate, tidy, and respectful. Friendly and social, but not someone who brings the party home. Ideally not working remote.
