We are seeking a Mindful, clean, responsible roommate for our shared home in New Brunswick, NJ. Ages 23-40. We would be willing to accept a younger master's or PHD student as well. Currently, it is only two of us around 30 years old and we both work. This environment is certainly quiet enough to work from home or study.

We are open to either gender and keep all areas of the house very clean. We generally clean every 2-3 weeks depending on the dirt build up. We have a wireless Dyson which makes it easy to pull off the charger to give a quick spin for daily buildup; especially by the front door. It's expected that roommates take turns cleaning like vacuuming, mopping, toilet cleaning, etc while we live together. If you do not know how to clean, I will teach you. Dishes must be done by the next day. In the summer, we take turns mowing the lawn and when it snows in the winter, we all help shovel the sidewalk and driveway. Most of our roommates that come through here say its the cleanest and nicest house they've ever lived in.

Note to females: Let's put it this way. If you are cleaner than me, I will be pleasantly surprised and probably build you some sort of trophy in my garage :)

About your room/house
You get your own unfurnished private room with spacious closet. The rest of the house is shared. AC is window unit here and heat is radiator. There are two full Baths, a beautiful sunroom which can also be used in the winter with our gas heater, a spacious private yard with firepit, billiards table and laundry in basement.

About the Town:
Contrary to what you may read about our city; the majority of the city/town is very nice and safe. New Brunswick is basically 3 sections; Rutgers students, downtown restaurants, and the Spanish area for great food and markets. However, OUR neighborhood is very secluded and unique. And it is so safe, you can leave your car unlocked and not worry about it. You'll only know what I mean when you come to see it. The house is a 15 min walk or 7 min bike ride to the New Brunswick Train station which can take you right into either NYC or Philly. There is also a beautiful large park across the street with basketball, outdoor gym, tennis, pickleball, soccer, and long bike paths nearby. Our neighbors are all very nice older adults mostly 50-60+.

Parking: Dead end Street

Personal side note: I have been cooking since I was 5 and cook basically every night. It would be very nice if we could share our meals. It would be cheaper for all of us and you would eat healthy every night. I generally cook French, Italian, Mexican, and Chinese but, really, I can cook any cuisine from any country on this planet if I can find the right ingredients. And if you already know how to cook? Fantastic, I could use a break sometimes!

I look forward to meeting you!
