Seeking Friendly, Clean & Organized Roommate

We’re looking for a kind, easygoing roommate to join our 4-bedroom home. One of our longtime, drama-free housemates is moving to Philly, and we’d love to keep the good energy going!

The Room:
- Upstairs bedroom with closet
- Room Dimensions: 118” x 132” (9’10” by 11’)
- Closet Dimensions: 24” x 58” (2’x4’10”)

- Two large south-facing windows with great natural light (perfect for plants 🌿)

- The room does share one wall with another roommate.

- Freshly painted semi off-white walls (recently updated); if changed would need to be approved by landlord + neutral color

Shared full bathroom (with two others):

bathtub/shower, double sinks, large mirror, and your own under-sink storage.

Additional half bath downstairs

The House:
- 5 total housemates (you’d be the 5th): currently two women and two men
- One long-term couple (10+ years); two others live independently

We’re all turning 30 this year; similar age preferred but not required — cleanliness, respect, and compatibility matter most

Layout: 3 upstairs bedrooms, 1 basement bedroom (basement roommate is often out)

Front porch, large deck, and garden space available for spring planting

Washer & dryer on site

Extra fridge & freezer in garage for additional storage

Parking:
Driveway fits 2 cars + ample street parking

3 of 4 current housemates have cars

We share snow shoveling duties in winter

The Rent:
- $800 per month
The household splits utilities evenly:
- Water (Quarterly ~ roughly $30-40 per person) (Landlord pays Sewer)
- Landscaping (Quarterly ~ roughly $60-70 per person)
- Gas/Electric (PSE&G) (Monthly ~ Varies depending on the season ranging from $100 - $200 per person)
- Appliances covered by Worry-Free (paid as part of PSE&G bill)
- Internet (Monthly ~ $19 per person)

Creative & Musical Environment 🎶

The house functions as a recording studio and band practice space and can get loud. Advance notice given for recording/practice sessions with set time limits for noise. (No loud noise past 9:30pm)

One roommate pays extra rent to make up for the noise and occupied spaces.

Common areas are fully furnished and have limited space for any additional large furniture items.

Regular light piano, singing and guitar playing during the day.

Kitchen & Storage:

Most cookware, dishes, and silverware are shared. We’ll make dedicated kitchen space for your personal items and respect your dish boundaries.

Storage is somewhat tight with 5 people, especially for bulky items

We prefer sharing appliances (cleaned and treated with care) to avoid duplicates

Cleanliness & Responsibilities:
- Shared chores: vacuuming/sweeping, dishes (no food left out over 24 hrs), keeping laundry area clear.

We’re working toward being even more organized and value a tidy, respectful home

Smoking & Pets
🚭 No cigarettes on property (landlord rule)

No pets (landlord restrictions + allergies)

Occasional pet visits by friends and family permitted (can't live here - has been run by landlord)

Work & Lifestyle:
- Two work from home; two work outside the home (Princeton/South Brunswick area)
- we have a gym in the garage that we are more than happy to share with you

We’ve been friends for years and value open communication (group chat + evenly split utilities)

Landlord will ask about income and run a standard background check
