Seeking one roommate (no couples) to share this beautiful, spacious (7-room), first-floor apartment with lots of character.
I'm open to a summer sublet (June 7-Aug 31). But looking ideally for a long-term (ie one year+) roommate.
You get a private bedroom with hardwood floors and good closet space. It's the larger of two bedrooms and measures 13x11. There's closet space in the room as well. Limited storage available.
You also get one free parking spot included (Belmont has no overnight parking), free washer/dryer, a shared kitchen, shared backyard to relax in, and a beautiful living room with a working fireplace.
This is a great situation for someone who's looking for a friendly, easy-going vibe and has a full life outside the apartment: a professional, a visiting scholar, postdoc, grad student, visiting nurse, or anyone who primarily works outside the house and values a calm, respectful home.
Belmont is a quiet, walkable town with a genuine neighborhood feel, and this house is close by Waverley Square. It's a 3-minute walk to the #73 bus, and a 20-min bus ride to Harvard Square.
The house is in a residential neighborhood with shopping in easy walking access. We're also a 10-minute drive to TJs and Whole Foods & lots of other options.
And if you're into getting outdoors to walk or hike, we're just a few min's drive to lots of nearby conservation land and hiking trails.
About me: I'm a writer, communications professional, and coach — warm, independent, and communicative. Male, in my 50s. I work a hybrid schedule (3 days at home), and a calm, communicative, respectful home is important to me.
No smoking and no pets permitted, per the lease.
Rent is $1,275 plus utilities (including cable internet), which I expect to run another $150+. There's also a deposit of $1,275.
If you're interested: please tell me a bit about yourself, what you do, and what your schedule looks like.
