After 11 years in the same spot, I'm moving - meaning the best room in the Heights is now available!

The bedroom is small and cozy, one of three in the apartment. The room has closet space, window with view of a gorgeous park + the NYC skyline, and radiator, meaning sunny mornings and comfortably warm winters. There is an additional, large closet for your use off our common area too!

The apartment itself is very large, including a living room, separate dining room, kitchen, laundry nook, and one shared bathroom. It is located on the 2nd floor with no elevator access. The apartment includes a dishwasher, full gas stove and oven, clawfoot tub + shower, and a laundry washing machine.

We are located in the Jersey City Heights, across the street from a beautiful park with probaby the best view ya can have of the NYC skyline (I took the pic on the ad and turned it blue... that'sthe actual view...!). There's an award-winning coffee shop downstairs, and the street has all the stores one might need nearby: grocery store ~6 min walk, taco trucks, local goods gift shop, bodega on the corner...etc! There's a bus stop to Hoboken, downtown Jersey City, Union City, and New York City literally out the front door and street parking is available. The neighborhood is diverse, legit neighborhood-y, and a great fit for people who want a quieter + bigger place than NYC offers but access to City events or jobs.

The price is $650 monthly, which includes heat and hot water... this is the best deal you're gonna find for what you're getting! Gas, electric, & wifi divided evenly amongst tenants. Additionally, we contribute toward communal household supplies (paper towels, dish soap, cleaning products, etc.) We have roommate meetings every month or so to keep things running smoothly w/ clear communication & collaboratively determined responsibilities, so our home stays super comfortable.

As part of the move-in agreement, you must provide one month’s rent and a security deposit equivalent to one month’s rent. You will also be signing on to an annually renewed lease, and a co-tenant agreement that we devise together so everyones needs are met and house agreements are clear.

We want a roommate who will appreciate a balance of casual exchange, meaningful investment in the apartment, proactivity in caring for our home, and thoughtfulness in our co-tenancy. We love to cook here, invite guests over, decorate, chatter, read, etc. and want a third roommate who will want to get to know us, and extend themselves for us to get to know, too ✨️
