Room in 2BR apartment avail for $800 - Jersey City

Hello! I’m presently in search of a roommate to share my two-bedroom apartment in Jersey City, NJ. Ideally, an October 1st move-in, but I can be flexible on the date. I’m asking $800 a month in rent plus 50% of the utilities (electricity, heat, WiFi).

The room is an unfurnished private bedroom (approximately 9.5 by 8 feet) with a large closet, ceiling fan, and windows that can accommodate an air conditioner. You’d also have shared access to the kitchen (all appliances, including dishwasher) and bathroom with your own storage areas.
I've lived in the apartment for about 7 years and really love the area. The building is located on a quiet street across from a park in Jersey City Heights, which is a chill neighborhood with a family-oriented vibe that offers several convenient commuting options into New York City.

I’m friendly, easy-going, mature, clean, quiet, responsible, respectful, drama-free, tolerant, and low-maintenance all-around. When I’m not working, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, and (quietly)
recording music. I’m a non-smoker/non-vaper and am seeking the same. I'm also a vegetarian, but it's
okay if you aren't. I also have one old cat and one old, small dog, so the best fit would be someone who likes animals and has lived with them before. On most weekends, the dog and I are at my girlfriend’s place in New York.

I would prefer a male roommate who’s in their early 30s or older and can show proof of steady
employment. I’m LGBTQ+ friendly, respectful of people’s privacy, and am committed to creating a
harmonious, equitable living arrangement built on mutual respect. Ideally, I’d like to find someone for at least a year, but am open. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate more than 1 person, frequent guests, additional animals, or children. No MAGA types or hard drug users.
