Spacious Single Room in West Side Jersey City

There's an open private room beside mine in a spacious and affordable apartment space on the third floor of an old building. We share a clean bathroom, living room, and kitchen. I have Wifi here already for $44 a month (split two ways), and we also pay for our own utilities like gas, electric, and water.

Overall, the place is really big and nice for a very affordable monthly cost. The open room is, I think, 10X12 feet, but it might be 10X13. You also have an admittedly tiny-but-good-enough closet, and there's a bigger closet in the mainroom that I pretty much do not use. We're about an hour commute into the city. There's some really amazing food places around here, my favorites being a couple sandwich shops, a pizza place, and a Chinese takeout store. Off-site laundry and two convenence stores with cheap ATMs on the street touching this one. Really wonderful and large park with lots of cool stuff (Lincoln Park).

About me: I'm a freelance artist, and I spend a lot of leisure time online. So, I'm kind of a hermit, and you might not see me much. But if you need help with anything, I'm there. I'm clean, respectful, and I communicate well, and that's really all I expect from you. If you like art, video games, deep passionate conversations, movies, comedy, and music, then we'll get along really well. If not, then we'll probably just be friendly, and that's okay too! Though we aren't allowed pets, sometimes I foster a shelter cat with the landlord's permission. So sometimes I might have a cat you can play with.

The place isn't perfect, so here's what's bad. First, the parking in the area is hell, and the parking rules are worse. If you have a car and intend to keep it, it'll be a bit of a hassle. But, moving your car almost every morning is an excuse to get up and get outside. Secondly, the room is on the third floor and there's no elevator. If you need help with carrying stuff up, I can help a little, but I'm kinda scrawny so don't count on that. Keep in mind that there's no laundry in the building. Another thing, very minor, is that the doors to our private rooms (not the main door to the apartment, but our rooms) don't lock with a key. So if you go out, your personal room is open. Of course, I'm not gonna ever go in your room, but if you're neurotic about privacy, then that's worth noting.
