I'm putting up my spare room for rent in my sunny and beautiful apartment. I'm located in Society Hill in Jersey City which is a gated off community on the west side of JC. The community is extremely safe with 24/7 security guards, gated entryway, and tons of fun ammenities such as, a pool that overlooks the river, a play ground, a clubhouse and a gorgeous boardwalk along the Hackensack river that is private to only those individuals living in the community.

The spare room I'm offering boasts a hefty and large 10x11 footprint which will comfortably house a full - queen size bed and a large closet within the room itself. The room has plenty of natural light as well, particularly towards the end of the day. It's a very inviting and charming room. The apartment is 2 bed, 2 bath so we will each have our own bathrooms and luckily for you - I just finished renovating the hallway bathroom that would be yours! The apartment also has a beautiful balcony and in-unit laundry! Your rent would include utilities, parking, internet, etc. There is currently a desk in that room but I can take it out if you don't want to use it so no worries on that! The entire apartment has central air too!

The community has multiple different ways to get into the city if you work there. There's a private bus that goes directly from Society Hill to Journal Square which then goes straight to Penn Station. There's also the NJ transit bus that goes to Journal Square as well. Furthermore, the lightrail station is about 1 mile away.

A bit about me:

29 year old finance professional. I'm VERY clean and I'm looking for someone who is also very clean who will respect the space. Maybe it's because I'm Asian haha! By very clean, I mean every Sunday I clean surfaces & vacuum + mop. I never leave dishes in the sink overnight - there's a dishwasher here so cleaning dishes is extremely easy. I keep the living room area pretty tidy. I'm a fairly fit person and I just recently got both shots of the vaccine so I'll be transitioning from home workouts to going to the gym. I love music (alternative/indie rock is my home), I love to cook and wouldn't mind making you some stuff. I'm also Afghan-American so I like to consider myself cultural! In my spare time I play video games or try to plan some DIY projects. I like to hang out with friends and I smoke. I'm not a big drinker and I'm not looking for anyone who brings the party home. I wouldn't mind being friends with whoever moved in but also understand if you want to keep your distance - your choice, no pressure. I'm going to be starting grad school this fall so it's important to find someone lowkey.

Who I'm looking for:

Someone clean, a professional with a full-time job, someone who does not bring the party home, someone who respects the home and takes their shoes off when they come inside. You do not use hard drugs and you're not a heavy drinker.

I am looking for a 6 month lease at which point we can reassess. Happy to answer any more additional questions you may have.
