East Village/Stuytown All-Inclusive Hideaway

ABOUT THE SPACE
Our apartment is nestled between East Village energy and Stuytown tranquility, bordering city convenience & landscaped retreat. Renting here is living in a shared apartment with a mid-40s married couple (beverage director & writer) and our quiet but personable chihuahua. We live a fairly routine but adaptable life and enjoy a well-balanced lifestyle.

MONTHLY RENT COVERS

THE ROOM:
* Bright 10x12 space with southwest-facing windows
* Furnished with a queen bed, closet, as well as a few other items which can be removed to suit your needs

THE APARTMENT
* Space dedicated throughout the apartment for use including flexible space in anteroom outside of private room.
* Private storage in bathroom, kitchen, hallway and entryway closets.
* Personal kitchen space provided as well as free use of an ample range of kitchen equipment—all appliances are recently updated.

THE BUILDING
* Secure entry w/ access to Stuytown’s 24/7 security team
* On-site laundry room & bike storage
* StuyFitness gym located on premises
* Mezzanine level includes tennis courts, bocce ball, butterfly garden, and dog areas

THE GROUNDS
* 24/7 security in the building & throughout the 80 acres of Stuytown
* Access to outdoor gym & all sports courts including basketball, tennis, volleyball, ping pong
* Wooded paths & wide open green spaces in lower Manhattan
* Depending on the season, Stuytown hosts either an ice skating rink or ice cream truck.

THE GROCERIES
* Whole Foods soon to open in Stuytown
* Trader Joe’s, Target, and C-Town are all within two blocks.
* StuyTown Greenmarket every Sunday May through December
* Union Square Greenmarket just minutes away all year round

THE GET-AROUND
* Centrally located in NYC with easy access to the west side, Brooklyn, and Union Square.
* 1.5 blocks away from the L train at Ave A and multiple bus routes steps from the front door.
* Citibike docks located within Stuytown and around it’s perimeter
* Even Rockaway Beach is easily accessible with the ferry two blocks away.

RENTING REQUIREMENTS
Before Agreement:
* Arrange a time to visit the apartment to see the space, meet each other and discuss accommodations.
* We’re open to virtual showings for stays of one month or less. If the stay will be longer, we have yet to rent on virtual showing alone.
* For in-person visits, we prefer Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays to schedule a time that works to see the place and chat. If needed, we can arrange for later evening showings on other days depending on circumstances.

Upon Agreement:
* $2200 security deposit to lock things in.
* First month’s rent is due upon move-in.
* If move-in is not the first of the month, we’ll apply a prorated amount.
* For stays longer than 2 months, to receive the Stuytown entry card there is a $165 fee for the background check.

Pet Policy
We have a small chihuahua who has lived successfully with other pets. We are open to other dogs living here but do require a meet & greet of the pups before final confirmation.
