Looking for a roommate to share our home!

My husband and I are quiet professionals in our 40s — I’m a diplomat and he works remotely in tech from home. We’re looking for someone chill, respectful, and low-drama to rent our basement suite. Students and young professionals are welcome; we’re mainly looking for someone who’s not into heavy partying and values a peaceful, clean home environment.

The space includes:

* Private basement bedroom
* Private living room/den area
* Private bathroom
* Shared kitchen
* Shared laundry

We have two dogs and also foster/host dogs through Rover from time to time, so you must genuinely love dogs and be comfortable around them. We’re open to one additional pet depending on temperament and fit.

The house has ample street parking and is walkable to H Street, with several great bus lines nearby for an easy commute around the city.

We keep common areas clean and organized, and we’ll have the home professionally cleaned monthly. There will be an additional $50/month cleaning fee for the private basement spaces. We’ll also ask for a $50 background check as part of the application process.
