We have a semi-furnished upstairs bedroom for rent in a cozy 1925 bungalow two blocks from Congress Heights Metro.

$800 a month includes all utilities and internet. Deposit counts as last months rent upon moving out. Short-term stays are prefered.

It's about 150 square feet with a south facing window, 2 attic-closets, ceiling fan and central air-conditioning. It comes with a single bed, dresser, a small desk, a swivel chair, and a small table. These can be removed upon request.

There is a full bathroom on the main level and a half bath in the basement. Washer and dryer in basement. Shared kitchen, living room, dining room, front porch and gardens. Street parking is abundant.

We are looking for someone clean, community minded, and socially and environmentally conscious. Quite hours are midnight to 8 am.

Must be GLBTQ friendly, and must visit in person before signing the lease.

Nathan, 42, gay white man, owner of the house and the leader of a small nonprofit

Leif, 61, straight Black male, works as a chef

We have a large dog named Duke and a small indoor-outdoor cat named Astrid.
