Available April 19, May 1, or June 1. Private room in beautiful 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath apartment in Columbia Heights (NW DC near U Street & Adam’s Morgan).

Short term 3 month sublet ok (e. g. for summer interns) and the room would be fully furnished. One year lease is also available and the room can be furnished or unfurnished.

The larger bedroom is available and offers a huge closet. Currently fits a queen-sized bed, side cabinet, and long horizontal dresser.

Evenings are quiet and there’s very little-to-no street noise because of the apartment’s location within the building. The other residents of the building are lovely. I’ve lived here for 10+ years.

Flatmate shares bathrooms, a nice kitchen, living room area, in-unit washer/dryer, and a shared balcony with a thirtysomething female PhD student who loves to cook. Ideal roommate is friendly, clean, respectful, and if you like to read, drink wine, or watch awards shows, even better! No smokers please.

Apartment is a 10-12 min walk from the metro (Columbia Heights or Petworth). Giant Grocery, Lidl, Target, Marshalls, and gyms (NYSC or Sweat DC) are all easy walking distances away. Whole Foods and U Street are a 20 min walk, and Petworth's Upshur St is 15ish mins north. The bus lines D74, D44/D40, and C63 are especially convenient.

Important: Two loving cats live here too! The other roommate takes care of them.
