Top Floor Bedroom and Bathroom in Navy Yard Home

My old room is available now! This group house is looking for a roommate to share a gorgeous, big and sunny 4BD/4.5BA townhouse in Navy Yard. You’ll have the top floor room, with its own private room and bathroom, and the loft will mostly be yours; even though it is a common area, the housemates don’t really hang out up there but they do love to use the deck to grill and host when the weather is nice. Available now with some potential flexibility to move-in sooner.

This will be a one year lease, then it will be month-to-month. All utilities are included (water, electricity, gas, internet, basic TV, and trash). Rent is $1,290 and there is a $25 monthly cleaning fee. A garage space is available for an extra fee, and the neighborhood is Zone 6 if you already have a Residential Parking Permit.

The Room and Loft:

•Comes with a box spring and frame that will fit a full-sized mattress.
•Dimensions are 11x11ft, with a big walk-in closet and your own bathroom with a tub and shower.
•Hardwood floors with tall windows facing West.
•The loft is a partially-furnished with a wet bar, desk, and a big patio. If you’d prefer to bring your own furniture, that’s OK.
•Lots of great morning sunlight, the loft faces East.
•Great space if you work from home!

The House:

•Fully equipped and spacious modern kitchen, fully-furnished dining and living area with a projector.
•Washer, dryer, and ironing board.
•Extra storage space in the garage.
•Grill on the patio and outdoor seating.

The Neighborhood:

•5 minute walk to Navy Yard Metro (green line), 10-15 min to Capitol South and Eastern Market Metros (blue/orange/silver lines).
•Harris Teeter (right down the street!) Whole Foods, CVS, Cornercopia, and Trader Joe's are within walking distance.
•VIDA Fitness, OneLife Fitness, Luma Wellness Studio, Boombox Boxing Club and Club Pilates are all within walking distance.
•Randall Recreation Center with pool, tennis and basketball courts are a 15 minute walk.
•Steps away from the Anacostia River Trail, Yards Park, Canal Park, and Garfield Park. Capitol Hill and Eastern Market/Barracks Row are also nearby.

Current Housemates:

•2 young male professionals in their mid 20s and early 30s working for the federal government and consulting.
•One has lived here for several years and the other will be two years this coming May, so longevity is preferred.
•The current housemates like to be friendly with each other but they do love their alone and quiet time.
•They do prefer to keep weeknights fairly low-key, and are either active on the weekends or have friends over on occasion.
•An ideal roommate would share this lifestyle of being clean and respectful of the common areas but also great to hang out with.
•Note, we're also looking for another housemate for the bottom floor room, which is currently vacant but has historically been a male.
