Furnished private room on the first floor of a Victorian home in Brookland, Northeast DC. Available September 24 through November 10 (about 7 weeks). I'd like someone here for at least a month, but I'll prorate by the week if your schedule doesn't line up neatly.

The room is about 16x12 ft, fully furnished with a new queen bed, two armoires, a dresser, a 50" smart TV, and a desk. Radiator heat and a dedicated AC unit. You'd share a first-floor half-bath with one other person, and use a full bath one flight down in the basement, shared with the basement tenant — wanted to be upfront about that layout.

Shared spaces include an eat-in kitchen (three freezers, if you cook ahead), a library/den with its own TV and reading chairs, a large front porch, an enclosed three-season room, and two furnished patios in the backyard. 1-gig WiFi throughout, all utilities and laundry included.

10–12 minute walk to Brookland-CUA or Rhode Island Ave Metro (Red Line). Restaurants, coffee shops, and a farmers market nearby.

A bit about me: I'm a published author and professional facilitator, and I've owned this home for 23 years. I live on the second floor and keep a quiet, well-run house — my long-term tenants have stayed for years.
