Seeking a considerate, quiet, easygoing, mature (in character, not necessarily age) woman to share a spacious, warm 2BR apartment in the Webber Park section of Sleepy Hollow. Sleepy Hollow is a charming village about a 35-minute drive from the UWS (Upper West Side) of Manhattan, 15 minutes to White Plains, and easy drives to the surrounding areas of Westchester County, Rockland County, Putnam County, and Stamford and the rest of southern Connecticut. It is also a 30-minute train ride to Grand Central on Metro North. (The station is a 15-minute walk).
The apartment is the entire second floor (1200 sf) of a two-family house in a quiet, tree-lined family neighborhood. The rooms are spacious and light-filled. The available bedroom is lightly furnished (see photos). We would share the rest of the furnished apartment: a large dining room, comfortable LR with fireplace, spacious kitchen with DW, attractive windowed bath, and in-apartment W/D. The apartment has two outdoor spaces, one with spectacular views facing the river. There is easy on-street parking (no permit needed). The house is a block from a beautiful park that connects to the massive Rockefeller Preserve and Croton Aqueduct.
I'm a mature, low-key, considerate woman (classical singer and voice teacher) in my early sixties. I'm not super neat, but not a slob either. I live with my lovable miniature schnauzer puppy, Bean (see photo). I’ve loved having canine roommates in the past, but sadly my landlord just changed the rule to one pet per apartment.
Since I work mostly from home, an ideal roommate would work outside the home.
Rent includes wifi and cable. We would split utilities (approximately $150/each per month) and monthly cleaning service ($60 each per cleaning). The room is available immediately. No couples, sorry.
