Two bedrooms for rent in newly built house

Looking to save some money or make a change in 2026? Me, too! Come share my home. I’m going back to school and looking to supplement my income a little so I can avoid student loans. Rent is $895 a month per room, plus $100/month for utilities, for a grand total of $995 a month all in. (This includes internet, water, electricity, gas, sewer and garbage.) Be the first person to live in the room! I’m looking for a total of two roomies.

The place: 2300 sq ft newly constructed rambler on a little over two acres. 3 bedroom, 2½ bath. Two 13x12 sq ft bedrooms for rent on opposite side of home from master bedroom. Both renters will share large bathroom with dual sinks & separate W&D inside closet. Shared bathroom is located between the two bedrooms and both closets in bedrooms share bathroom wall for added privacy. (See attached floorplan for clarity.) Shared living room and dining room. Shared kitchen has gas range, double ovens, microwave, dishwasher and four-door fridge, along with dedicated kitchen cabinets for your personal items. There is also a 60”x78”x18” free-standing cabinet for food or other items that’s available as extra storage/pantry space. Compartments are adjustable and customizable, so each person could have one side and items could remain separated, if that’s important to you. The property is gated and there is ample on-site parking.

The area: The house is considered unincorporated Pierce County. It has a Tacoma address. If you are heading East on 72nd Street it’s between Portland Ave and Waller Road, in the Summit-Midland area. It’s less than two minutes from a couple of grocery stores and several strip malls, less than ten minutes to I-5 and five minutes to SR 512. It’s zoned rural and both the neighbors to each side have over two acres and the neighbors along the back have five.

About the roomies: It’s just me and my pets. I’m a 45-year-old female. Mixed race. Sarcastic. I work in accounting/finance. I love, love, love travel and am obsessed with foreign language and learning how to live more sustainably. I really want to get a garden going this year and plant an orchard. I love live theater, music concerts (the arts in general), hiking, nature, animals, football, my friends and family. What else? As far as roomie stuff goes, I think I’m a pretty chill individual. Kinda introverted. If I’m home, I’m usually in my room or outside working on something. I’m clean-ish. (like, super-duper clean in shared spaces, but can tend to get a little buck wild in my own room, sometimes. I bounce between neat freaky ninja to an IDGAF-can’t-find-my-car-keys-or-a-single-pair-of-socks-that-match type of situation. But I promise to keep that all behind closed doors and not ask you to help me find my keys. Or socks. *winks*) I have an extremely low tolerance for bullshit in general and am very direct, so if you’re an ultra-sensitive type – I’m probably not for you. I value honesty and open communication. Most importantly, I want everyone to feel safe, comfortable and at peace while home.

My pets: I have a ten year old rescue cat and two dogs. A golden retriever and chocolate lab. (Both three years old.) The dogs are not allowed in any of the shared spaces but the cat follows me everywhere. He’s my little shadow. He would only be out if I’m in the shared space, but he mostly just stays in my room. If you don’t LOVE animals, you should definitely keep looking. I’m also planning to get some chickens and mini goats out back this summer to begin fulfilling my farm girl dreams.

What I'm looking for in a roomie: Responsible, absolutely no drugs or smoking, stable, professional, good credit and rental history. clean, respectful, considerate of others, drama averse, kind to animals and down with a shoeless household. (Annnd bonus points if you're cool AF.)
