Bedroom for rent (private living area & bath)

$1000/mth 1 person/$1500/mth couple. Utilities: waste and internet included, electric/gas/water at percentage (33% 1 person, 50% 2 people).

We are a married couple in late 30’s/early 40’s (together 10 years) looking for a long term housemate or couple in our new to us West Seattle home (Gatewood neighborhood). We live pretty quietly (not late night people) keep a pretty clean space, and hope for the same. We both work out of the home, I as a 3/4 time dayshift critical care RN, and my spouse as a climbing instructor.

You would actually have the choice of two living arrangements. You could choose to take an upstairs bedroom and the basement apartment-like space could be your private living area. Your private bath would be the downstairs 3/4 bath regardless, and we would share the larger upstairs kitchen. Or, you could choose to live in the downstairs apartment style space as a studio apartment w an extra office room. It does have its own separate entrance, but for legal reasons your bed would need to go in the larger room down there as the second room is interior and does not have windows so could be used as office space but not as bedroom. The kitchen arrangement down there is fully functional but a little wonky as the sink is around a corner from the stove and fridge and larger counter.

Regardless of chosen living arrangement, you or y'all *must* be dog people, as we have two, an Aussie and a beagle/cattle dog mix. Both are 9-10 years old. They’d be a tricky pair to integrate w other pets so probably can’t take additional creatures unfortunately at this point in time. We obviously do not expect dog care from our housemate(s) but we do want someone who enjoys the presence of pups so that they don't have to listen to other people in the house when we are not home without being able to interact with them.

The house is gorgeous, elevated on the south facing side with an elevated south facing deck and huge backyard with a couple of beds already installed. Quiet cute neighborhood close to rapid bus lines.
