Sunny 1 Bedroom in Walkable Fremont Home

Move in on-or-before September 1st 2026 -
3 bed 1 bath 2 story house, pets OK; unfurnished bedroom

I am looking for someone to replace me on our lease in center of the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. I need to move for work, and am looking for a roommate to replace me by September 1st!

ABOUT THE SPACE: The house is a duplex in the heart of Fremont, we rent the upper unit which has 2 floors. The ground floor and includes 1 bedroom (currently vacant/ guest room), bathroom, 2 living areas, a spacious kitchen with dishwasher, and a utility room with washer and dryer. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, including the room for rent. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, including the room currently available to rent.

The available room is spacious, with lots of natural lighting and a walk-in closet. There is also private access to a large attic storage space (only accessible to you)

The house is quiet with lots of space and privacy. There is a porch and concrete patio out front with room for a container garden or grill. There is one included parking space with the unit (not currently in use). This house has a walkability score of 96, and lots of shopping, restaurants, and a library are all within close walking distance! You will also be very close to the 28, 40, 5, 62, and 31/32 bus lines!

We are responsible for electric, which is charged every 2 months. Both floors have heating for the winter, but an AC unit is not included with the bedroom. The house is already hooked up to wifi.

Currently, there are no pets living in the house.

ABOUT THE ROOMMATE: The roommate you will be sharing the space with is 29F. She has lived in the house since 2023. She does consulting work and will potentially begin law-school in the near future. She is tidy, laid back, and communicates well. She is a non-smoker and doesn't frequently have guests, but will occasionally and is also fine if you have guests. She enjoys travel and speaks 3 languages (English, Russian, Spanish)!

ABOUT YOU: Right now I am looking for an individual or a couple of any gender to move into the upstairs bedroom and take over my spot of the lease. Currently, there is almost a year left on the lease, so you should be in the market for longer-term housing. The total rent for the room would be $1,700. I'm hoping to have someone moved in by or before September 1st. I will be moved out before mid-August, and can work with you on move-in dates after that point. Pets in the unit are totally fine.

Once you are moved in, the current roommate is also open to adding a 3rd tenant to live in the downstairs bedroom, which would bring the cost of rent down to around $1,100.
