Intentional Household in Historic Victorian
Two rooms have opened in a 1906 Victorian in the heart of the Central District. This is a household with clear structure and warm culture, led by an artist and massage therapist who's invested deeply in making this house a genuinely good place to live.
How We Live
This house runs on clarity and mutual respect. We have a sublease agreement, a household handbook, defined quiet hours, and a straightforward communication agreement: if something isn't working, we talk about it directly and early. Expectations are spelled out so that everyone can relax into actually living here rather than navigating unspoken rules.

We're not a party house, but we're not strangers either. We cross paths, share the occasional meal, and genuinely enjoy the people we live with. Everyone values privacy, personal space, and the kind of easy cohabitation that comes from people who take pride in their shared environment. Casual interactions sometimes become movie or game nights, in-house karaoke, backyard BBQs. We usually have a big Thanksgiving.

Who Lives Here
A small household of thoughtful people sharing a large, character-filled home: a massage therapist and visual artist (40s) with a painting studio on-site, her son (13, drummer, gaming enthusiast, easy company), and a late-20s student working in Cyber Security/Tech. A Great Pyrenees named Jupiter and a cat named Phoenix enjoy residence as well.

The Neighborhood
Judkins Park, within the Central District, is one of Seattle's most established and rooted neighborhoods: tree-lined streets, longtime family homes, and a genuine sense of place. Steps from parks, coffee shops, restaurants, the Douglas Truth Library, and easy bus and freeway access. The vibe is residential and quiet. We enjoy proximity to the heart of the city without the noise.

Favorite walkable spots include Temple Pastries, Standard Brewing, Cheeky Café, Woodshop BBQ, and a straight shot to Lake Washington.

Who We're Looking For
Someone who appreciates a well-run home and wants to contribute to one. Someone who values both solitude and community; who can close their door when they need space and wander into the kitchen when they want connection. Someone stable, self-aware, and already comfortable with shared living because they find it genuinely enjoyable rather than just convenient.

Bonus if you have a creative practice of any kind, enjoy cooking or gardening

Current pets include one large dog and one cat. Please be comfortable with animals.
