COMING SOON: Seeking 3rd (female) roommate for 1BR/1BA in a 2BR/2BA apartment at Ava Ballston Square in Ballston/Arlington - waiting on official renewal offer, expecting to come late April / early May but wanted to get feelers out early.
About Your Roommates:
- Early / mid 30's couple. Morgan, Female, 32 / Deric, Male, 37. We live an active / healthy lifestyle but also... pizza.
- I work from home (office in bedroom) M-F typical 9-5 as software sales rep, boyfriend works from the living room during the day then refs hockey at night and on weekends either in town or will travel.
- I'm always hosting some kind of game night, dinner party or group outing, my social calendar is always full ! WE love to go to the movies across the street or hit the gym.
FYIs: No pets, no drugs, no smoking/vaping (also apartment is smoke-free facility), we don't really drink but you do you
Do you have a car? Parking not available with unit, there's a few overnight parking garages nearby (less than 5 min walk) that offer overnight monthly packages
Prime Location:
-METRO ACCESSIBLE: Ballston Metro (orange/silver line), one block away.
-Dozens of restaurants, Regal movie theater, gyms on our block. (Hawkers, Taco Bamba, Del Ray, South Block, Compass Coffee, True Food, Ted's Bulletin, etc)
-Clarendon 1 mile away, miles of walking trails, safe area and relatively quiet (everyone parties down at clarendon).
-8 miles from DC, 20 minute drive to DC or Alexandria
- 66 on ramp 2 miles away
- Harris Teeter grocery store less than 5 minute walk
- Overnight parking garages near by, Ballston Quarter Mall has $1 parking, perfect for guests
The Financials:
-Rent Estimate: current rent is $2,858 for the entire space ($1,430 per room), anticipating renewal to bring it up to $3,200-$3,400 ($1,600-$1,700 per room) but will know for sure in a few weeks. Rent is split 2 ways for the two rooms.
-Utilities: Water/sewage through apartment, roughly $150 per month (split 3 ways), Dominion power ranges $30-$60 per month (split 3 ways), $65-$90 "technology fee" (internet + Azn Hub) required by the apartment complex (split 3 ways)
-One Time fees (split 3 ways) : Renters Insurance (I think it was like $200), Ava Ballston Square's "amenity" fees $500, application fee $50 per person and security deposit $300
Amenities: gym, pool, firepit, cabanas, table games, office space (first come first serve), amazon hub, free office printing services, FedEx/UPS package drop off, Mini Mart attached to building. The building is mostly young professionals, with some young families mixed in.
Move in Date: August but could do July potentially, just need to coordinate with the departing roommate.
Our Ideal Roommate:
- Female, student or young professional. Someone early 20's - mid 30's
- Friendly, also semi-low key (not exactly a party animal). Also into fitness or healthy lifestyle
-We'd love to be friends / hangout but certainly not required :-)
