Room in Quiet South Austin Home (Utilities inc.)

Private furnished upstairs bedroom available in a quiet, owner-occupied home in South Austin. The room is set up to be comfortable and functional for both everyday living and working from home, with a Murphy bed that converts into a desk/workspace, blackout curtains, storage, and WiFi. The upstairs bathroom is shared.

You'll also have access to a fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas, laundry, a large backyard patio, and an upstairs loft/reading nook, so there are plenty of places to relax outside of your bedroom. Additional refrigerator space is also available if needed. Utilities and WiFi are included, and shared spaces are professionally cleaned approximately once a month.

The household is friendly but independent. This isn't a party house, and there's no expectation that roommates need to socialize all the time. The goal is a comfortable environment where everyone can have their own routine and privacy while being friendly and respectful when we cross paths.

I'm looking for one responsible, clean and considerate roommate who is comfortable sharing common areas and cleaning up after themselves. The room could be a particularly good fit for a working professional, someone relocating to Austin, a traveling professional on assignment, or someone who works remotely/hybrid and wants a furnished, move-in-ready setup.

Three friendly dogs live on the property. They're well managed, but you should be comfortable around dogs. No additional pets, please. The property is non-smoking indoors.

The house is in South Austin with convenient access to William Cannon, Brodie, West Gate and Mopac, with grocery stores, gyms, restaurants and other everyday essentials nearby.
