Hallway bathroom for your primary use

I am the property owner seeking a positive, active, and Eco-friendly housemate in a quiet and calm home.

• You would have an expansive, 230 square foot room, a large walk-in closet, and the hallway bathroom for your primary use. Guests may occasionally use it.
• Access to the rest of the house includes the kitchen with your own storage and work area, access to cooking utensils, laundry, living room, etc.
• The maid comes at least once a month to clean the entire house.

The property is very close to downtown, the Greenbelt, Zilker park, and Barton Creek mall and adjacent to lots of South side coffee shops such as Radio, Cosmic Coffee & Easy Tiger. There is a large vegetable garden and a deck in the back yard that you’d be more than welcome to use. There is a studio above the garage which is occupied, and the tenant may occasionally come in to do laundry or pick up mail; he will be on the property but not in the house. My adult son comes to Austin to visit me occasionally on the weekends and stays in the guest bedroom.

We are a project-centric household. You will often find myself, my son, and the garage tenant working on a variety of projects that keep our minds stimulated and our bodies capable. An occasional power tool may be heard, but never earlier than the city’s noise ordinances dictate. If you like to sleep in until noon, this may not be the place for you.

I’m a really easy-going person, not much bothered by how other people spend their time if it’s not causing any damage. I’m very respectful and considerate, tidy in common areas (sometimes my private space gets a bit cluttered, but nothing unsanitary). I think I’m fun to be around, although I keep to myself a lot at home as I’m typically working on projects or exhausted from teaching and mentoring all day.
