Hello!! The Captain Barnes home is looking for two new members to join our community.

As one of the last remaining houses on ?Captains Row?, the house is an NYC Landmark. It holds its old world charm yet is kept young in spirit with its occasional tongue and cheek, palatial kitsch touches.

Captain Barnes not only brings a grounding place to call home but a platform for your ideas, a collective and creative experience and an abundance of opportunity.

The House is four stories and a Roof-Level cupola. Every room holds a unique feeling- from our ground floor living space - rooted in a speakeasy history to our commercial kitchen with a wood burning pizza oven to to our outdoor 40ft pool accompanied by a sweet English Garden with organic vegetables and LOTS of adorable chickens!

The bedrooms available are two humongous spaces (600 sqft each) on the top floor. Both are furnished with a bed included. They hold a more modern loft-like space, a canvas which you can bring your own flare to.

Couples are very welcome - rent remains $1000 per person per room - so a couple would get the whole floor with the ability to turn one room into their own studio space.

Currently we only have plans to have one other room occupied as to keep the other rooms staged for location shooting - so plenty of privacy and hang out options throughout the home.

Important: The house has officially launched as a location for film/photo shoots ? we have recently collaborated with the likes of the the RZA, Tazo Tea, MTV, Bruno Magli and many more? We?ve been hosting on average a shoot a month but we aspire to have one a week. So we?re looking for a team that can be ready and willing to help prep for these events when they arise with the option of hosting the event too! In return, the community shares a cut in the profits from the event ? a few shoots a month will cover your rent. This is also an amazing opportunity for collaboration with top artists and brands who come to the home.

Our house is located on the North Shore waterfront of Staten Island - With enough distance from the bustling city to recharge and regain peace of mind. It is a true sanctuary. Commuting takes about an hour in to Manhattan via Bus and Ferry. If you drive, you can get to Brooklyn or Manhattan in 30 minutes. (Please contemplate whether the location will suit your commute before contacting)
