Room for Rent in 3 Bedroom House

About the Room:
We have a private room available immediately (June 3rd) in a 3 bedroom 2 bath house on De La Pena. The room is roughly 13x 15 and will be empty by the end of the month. It is a larger room with a smaller closet. It has 3 large windows and is at the front of the house so it gets beautiful light. There is only one room available for rent.

The hallway bath is shared by the two front bedrooms and any guests of the house, and thus by two roommates. We have central heat & central AC and in a few weeks we will have a dog. We have a washer/dryer in the garage, a bbq & hammock, and new patio space out back. There is a spacious backyard with fruit trees(plums! oranges! lemons! avocados!).

The house is located in a quiet and family-friendly neighborhood in Santa clara, with street parking. My roommate and I are both working professionals that tend to be out of the house often, or at home working on school/work in our rooms. We are looking for another professional that doesn't mind a shared community space and keeps a clean house. We have a fully stocked kitchen (thanks mom and dad for your hand-me-downs!) and I like to cook on the weekends to whip up something tasty for me and my family/friends.

About us:
My roomie and I (both young female professionals) are both very tidy, clean kitchen kinda people. We both tend to be on the shy, quieter side, but wouldn't mind doing dinners together once in a while, especially if you can cook! I occasionally travel and recently purchased the house, so updates are happening slowly to make it a more efficient house. I am very allergic to cats so we are not currently open to a roomie with a cat. We are only looking for one roomie, not multiples or a family as its a small bathroom/limited street parking as on our street we only park in front of our house. I am a teacher and work as a nanny on the weekend, and my roomie is in grad school, so we are often up early, and we tend to head to bed on the earlier side during the school year. We are not friendly, sorry!

House Details:
We can discuss splitting up the house chores once you are all settled in, but we plan on everyone pitching in on something. The utilities (water, sewage, trash, electricity, heat, AC) are all shared equally on top of the rent (roughly 80-150 per month depending on usage). The rent already includes payment for the gardener twice monthly, twice monthly house cleanings of all spaces, internet and Netflix on the tv in the living room. It is a 6 month lease and then it becomes monthly after that. We will require a one months deposit. The current tenant will be moving out by the end of the month, and then it will be available to show to candidates. Bonus points if you are handy, or are willing to help make improvements/repairs to our 70 year old house.
