I’d want roommates who strike a good balance between being friendly and being respectful of space. People who are easy to talk to, open-minded, and considerate tend to make shared living much smoother. It helps if they communicate clearly—like being upfront about schedules, guests, or shared responsibilities—so nothing builds up into tension.
Cleanliness is a big one. Not perfection, just a shared baseline: dishes don’t sit forever, common areas stay usable, and everyone contributes without being chased. Financial reliability matters too—paying rent and utilities on time avoids a lot of unnecessary stress.
