2 Bedrooms Available in Presidio Heights!
Hello! My name is Katie and my partner and I are looking for two roommates to move in with us come June! I share a beautiful place in the Presidio Heights/Pacific Heights area with my current roommates. Before I get into more about us, I wanted to list some noteable things about the apartment. Not only do we have a view of the San Francisco skyline, we’re also about five minutes away or less from the Presidio. The 43 bus stops are right outside of our apartment (we’re also a walk away from the 1 and 2 bus lines) and we’re around the corner from the boutique shops on Sacramento St and a few minutes away from Laurel Village. We’re a walk away from Alta Plaza Park, upper Fillmore, Divisadero, as well as a bus ride away from USF and the City Center which has a Target, Trader Joe’s, Chipotle, Pet Smart, and more. The location is amazing, safe, and usually quiet considering many families and older people live in the area; having lived here for almost a year, I’ve never felt unsafe nor have had anything bad happen to me.
Laundry is in the garage, is about $4 a load (in quarters), and the washer and drier is new and functions well! On to utilities, we have a heater, a dishwasher, as well as a fridge and a lot of pantry space and space for dishes. Any silverware, utensils, dishes, etc., are welcome upon move in and would be very appreciated! We have a small patio/balcony and since we’re on the top floor a ladder that leads to the roof. The walkup to our apartment is a bit steep but it isn’t too bad. In terms of the cost of power and internet, that would be split between each of us. My partner and I are splitting the cost of a room and as we mentioned, are looking for two other roommates. There’s only four people allowed on the lease so two people would have their own bedroom each, rent is just a little over $1.4k per month for each room. Another thing to note is the layout: there’s three bedrooms and two bathrooms, so one bathroom would be shared by my partner and I and the other would be shared between yourself and the other roommate.
*Our lease is month by month, so if someone signs onto the lease and wants to move out that’s completely fine but it will be that person’s responsibility to find a new person to fill the lease, NOT the responsibility of the remaining roommates.*
A little bit about us, I’m 23 and he’s 24. We both love cats and we actually have two that will be living with us, so cat-friendly people are always welcome. We’re on the fence about having more pets within the apartment, but are open to having a conversation about any concerns of course. However, we will not be taking in anymore cats into our apartment. Our cats, Spock and Pupusa are mother and daughter and are bonded so they wouldn’t do well with other cats, however they are very friendly with people and tend to be more shy than not. They are not aggressive by any means but take time to warm up to people, especially Spock as she’s more skittish than her daughter.
We love socializing and getting together with friends and are always welcome to meeting new people. I myself recently graduated from USF in December and my partner currently works as a swim instructor. We’re passionate about progressive politics and welcome anyone else who is. We love hosting people and want those who move in to feel comfortable having people over! We find it really important to make sure that people feel comfortable and at home around us and want nothing more than that. We’re welcome to having people sleep over depending on the day, and as long as they’re respectful of the space (such as cleaning after themselves or not being too loud if it’s a weeknight, for example). I find it a bit ridiculous to put numerous restrictions on roommates since everyone has their own lives, the only thing I ask is just communication and ensuring everyone else is comfortable with something like having people over or having a get together. As mentioned, we love meeting new people and want you, as well as your guests, to feel welcomed so anyone who’s a friend to you is a friend to us!
