My husband and I are relocating to London for (at least) a year. So we are seeking someone to be a long-term “temporary roommate” — a caretaker for our apartment/permanent residence while we travel. (Under San Francisco and California rental laws, this is how we have to legally arrange this to keep our claim on this wonderful rent-controlled apartment, and to keep the price lower for you.)

We’d have a signed roommate rental agreement for you in our San Francisco apartment for at least a year, starting 1 March 2026. Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment comes fully furnished and has a gas fireplace. This comes WITH the use of our parking space. It is a rent-controlled unit in Cole Valley, which is why the cost is so low: $3,000 per month plus monthly costs of utilities (average PG&E $150/mo; Monkeybrains Internet $35/mo). Conveniently 2 blks to N. Judah train, 2 blks to UCSF-Parnassus, 2 blks to Keezar Stadium/GG Park.
