Furnished Room in Woodside

Hello!

I am renting a beautiful room on the 3rd (top) floor of a private home in Woodside. It is 3 blocks from the express 61st stop on the 7 train as well as the LIRR.
The room is very large (15' x 10.5'), giving it ample room for a sitting area or work space as well as a bed and dresser. There is a double door built-in closet offering plenty of storage. The wall of windows and high ceilings give the space excellent light and a nice view of the city as well as the lovely cherry tree in the backyard. It is currently furnished.
The rent is $1250 and a one month security deposit is required. Heat and hot water are included, while gas, electric and WiFi are shared. The room is for one person only. No pets are allowed and NO smoking in the apartment. In addition to the bedroom, there is also a bright large living room, a well equipped kitchen, attached dining room, and a well kept bathroom with a tub. Nearby are multiple grocery stores, laundromats, coffee shops, convenience stores and tasty restaurants.

You would be sharing the apartment with a graduate student of music and myself, a technical design professional.

“I lived with Steven and Mark for almost six months, and I honestly would have loved to stay longer if I were not moving to Boston. They are an amazing pair of roommates and made the house feel welcoming, comfortable, and truly like home from the beginning.
Both of them are very organized and responsible when it comes to household chores. Everyone contributes fairly, and they make a real effort to keep the common areas clean and tidy. Steven takes care of coordinating the rent and household bills, and he is always extremely organized, transparent, and timely about everything.
They are also very easygoing and respectful of everyone’s schedule and personal space. We never had problems sharing the kitchen, living room, or other common areas, and everyone was considerate when someone else was using them. At the same time, Steven and Mark are genuinely enjoyable people to live with. I loved sharing dinners, cooking together, watching TV, or simply spending time and talking with them.
The house has a calm, homey atmosphere. They are not party people and usually keep a regular schedule and go to bed early. I was often the night owl using the living room later in the evening, and they always made me feel comfortable and never acted as though I was bothering them.
Before living there, I had never shared a home with two men, but they were always incredibly respectful and made me feel completely safe and welcomed. I am very grateful for the time I spent living with them and would strongly recommend both the room and the roommates to anyone looking for a clean, peaceful, respectful, and friendly home.”
