Hello everyone!

My name is Santiago. I am a 32-year-old Colombian-American man currently subletting one medium-sized room on the second floor of a private house located in a residential area in Maspeth, Queens.

The room itself is towards the back side of the house and is adjacent to the master bedroom. It is in close proximity of the shared bathroom and kitchen. You would also have access to other shared spaces like the living room and dining area.

All utilities and WiFi internet included. Security deposit is equal to one month’s rent ($1200.00) and minimum stay is 3 months.

The roommates:

Myself - I am an English and Spanish speaking full-time retail employee who is studying IT. My schedule varies from week to week but I am usually gone for most of the day with Humaira, my girlfriend (pictured in pfp). I am pretty quiet, don’t drink or smoke, don’t cook much at all, don't have many guests over either. When I am home, Humaira and I are usually just in our bedroom watching TV or warming up food late in the evening.

Humaira - 30-year-old Bengali-American full-time, Mon-Fri 9-5 receptionist who is also studying IT. She’s easy to get along with, accommodating and likes to keep things clean and orderly around the house. On weekends she likes to sleep in but we also like to enjoy the city and tend to be outside most of the time. Humaira and I occupy the Master Bedroom.

Monica - My mother rents the smallest room in the house. She's a 59-year-old Colombian woman who wakes up at around 4am usually Mon-Fri to go to her full-time bakery clerk job. You'll usually see her in the afternoon after 4pm. She likes to cook shortly after coming home but is very accommodating if someone needs to use the kitchen area. She also enjoys watching television and talking on the phone with her family. She primarily speaks Spanish but also speaks English.

The ideal roommate for us would be…

Someone mature, responsible, clean but most importantly someone who knows how to communicate.

Pets will be considered but preferably on the smaller and quieter side.

About the area and commute…

- 7 train (Woodside - 61st Street) and LIRR (Woodside) is a 25 minute walk or 15 minute bus ride via the Q18 bus that stops across the street.
- Q67 is around the corner and will get you to LIC/Queens Plaza in ~30 minutes.
- Q58/Q59 is a short walk away (~8 minutes) and will take you to Ridgewood/Bushwick/Greenpoint/Williamsburg pretty quickly.
- Citi bike racks located on the block
- recently opened Bakery/Bagel shop on the block
- Peruvian, Chinese, Mexican, Irish-American restaurants within one block radius
- Irish pub, deli, pharmacy, and two laundromats within a block
- Parking is limited due to valet parking from nearby restaurant and newly built Citibike racks.
