Bright room in laid-back Hunters Point apt

Looking for someone to take over my room in a great 3-bedroom apartment in Hunters Point / Long Island City. I'm relocating to Europe this summer as my work contract is ending, so I need someone to replace me on the lease (just renewed in May with prices locked in).

The basics: $2,175/month plus $110 for utilities. One month's security deposit. Move-in from August 1st, with some flexibility around that date.

The room is spacious and furnished, with two large windows, a fully working AC, and a walk-in closet with built-in shelves. It comes with a bed, bedside table, desk, desk chair, lamp, and carpet — move-in ready. You'd share one of the two bathrooms with a single roommate.

The apartment itself is on the second floor of a three-floor building and has a large open common area connecting the kitchen and living room, plus a huge terrace. There's a dishwasher in the kitchen, and a washing machine and dryer in the building. The vibe is relaxed and low-key — one of the two roommates works long hours and is usually out on weekends, so in practice the kitchen and living room are mostly used by just two people.

Location is ideal if you want to skip the chaos of Manhattan while staying close to it. The Vernon Blvd–Jackson Ave stop is under a 5-minute walk, with the 7 train straight to Grand Central and Times Square; 21st St puts the G line (to Brooklyn) within reach too. Several newer supermarkets are about 5 minutes away, including Dumbo Market. Trader Joe's is also just 5 minutes away. Vernon Blvd is full of restaurants and cafés. The Hunters Point waterfront is right there — one of the nicest spots in the city — with Manhattan skyline views and ferry connections to both Manhattan and Brooklyn.
