Long Island city room

Hi! We’re renting out a room in our apartment in Long Island City. The space is shared with me and my husband—we’re both in our 30s—and we’re looking for a quiet, respectful, and clean individual.

A few important details:
• No smoking
• No pets
• No guests

We have a small maltipoo, which is why no pets are allowed, she is not so friendly to other dogs but so lovely to humans. You’re free to pet her and play with her when we aren’t home.

The building includes great amenities such as a gym, game room, and pool. You’re welcome to use the shared spaces, though access to the pool may be limited since your name would not be on the lease.

We’re located just one block from Queensboro Plaza, with easy access to the 7, N, W, and R trains.

For scheduling, I work Monday–Friday from 8 AM–5 PM, and my husband works from 11 AM–10 PM. If you like to cook, we can coordinate a schedule so we’re not in each other’s way.

The rent is $2,100 for the first month, along with a $2,100 security deposit, which will be returned at the end of the lease term, assuming no damages.

Our lease runs through April 18, 2027, and we do not plan to renew.

We’re not in a rush to fill the room and would like to take our time interviewing potential renters to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.

Preferably, we’re looking for a student who is also working full-time, but we’re open to the right fit.

We’re simply looking for someone who is clean, respectful, and mindful of shared spaces—just clean up after yourself and we’ll get along great.
