I?m moving and looking for someone to a sublet a room in a 2-bedroom apartment in Jackson Heights. It?s available from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30--a great opportunity for someone who is moving to the city and needs a temporary place to stay while they find a permanent situation. The rent is $375/week or $1225/month (utilities and internet included).

The image here shows the room furnished but I am renting it unfurnished.

There are windows in every room, lots of natural light, wood floors and high ceilings. Large living room with breakfast nook area, lots of closet space, full kitchen with lots of cupboards, bathroom with tub.

The apartment is on the third floor of a large six-story building with an elevator, a laundry room in the basement, friendly and responsive super and asst. super.

It?s a seven-minute walk from the Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Ave. station (E, F, M, R, and 7 trains), in a pleasant neighborhood with lots of good restaurants and grocery stores.

Your would-be-roommate has a sweet and friendly cat. He works an editor at a magazine and does some freelance work as a writer and translator. He is out quite a bit and travel regularly, but often in the kitchen or his room when home.
