Beach Life Apartment in NYC

Hello!

We are looking for a third roommate to join our very special beach home in The Rockaways ? an oasis only 60 seconds from the beach and 5 minutes from the A train!

We would prefer a woman for the room. Our lovely roommate, D, has been here for 4 years and is moving in with her partner in Brooklyn so we are looking for someone awesome to move in! Only $710/month!

This is a spacious 3BR/1BA 2-level apartment with a shared deck and balcony, washer/dryer, large windows, and lots of natural light. The available room is located on the apartment's 1st level, near the main living area.

We are a short 3 block/4 minute walk from the beach and all its glory. Nearby there is a huge supermarket, some banking centers, an enormous YMCA, and some dining options. The apartment is about a 5-6 minute walk from the A train. We are also not far from Locals, Rockaway Beach Surf Club, Rockaway Brewery, Whit's End, Low Tide Bar, Sayra's Wine Bar, Rockaway Roasters, and a myriad of other lovely Rockaway establishments, including a yoga studio, gyms, churches, post office, library, and the many seasonal bars and eateries that line our boardwalk. If you're a surfer, or work near/at JFK, this could be great for you!

Any smoking is done outside and we ask that you don't drink excessively or bring the party home every night. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive. No pets. We each lead busy lives but are friendly and reasonable people who enjoy being around each other as well as our clean, cared-for home. We do not have a TV in the main living area and we like it like that. If you are clean, nice, and reasonable, keep reading!

A is a video producer and general creative person. She recently moved to The Rockaways with hopes of becoming a capable surfer and has no complaints so far. Besides the beach, her interests include non-fiction books, eBay, and amateur redecorating.

L is a native New Yorker who's come to view living on the beach in NYC as a revelation. Upon returning from a year traveling abroad, he promptly fell in love with Rockaway and the super good vibes in our beach-house home. Professionally, he has been social entrepreneur active in the civic and education spaces, and teaches on and off at NYU. He enjoys physics, surfing, and guava soda. Often you'll find him air-drumming on the subway.
