Beautiful Room on Gorgeous Astoria Block for Rent!

Hi!! I’m looking to fill a room in my 2-bedroom apartment for a year-long term, beginning Nov. 1.

The apartment’s located on the top floor of a beautiful three-story building on one of Astoria’s most gorgeous blocks, directly across the street from Astoria Park and less than a block away from the East River. It’s absolutely perfect for walking, running, or any outdoor activity. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the N and W trains and a block away from the Q69 bus station. There’s a supermarket and a pharmacy less than a 10-minute walk away, and plenty of great restaurants and bars in a 10-20 minute radius.

The apartment itself features an open-layout kitchen with plenty of cabinet and counter space, a kitchen table, a breakfast bar, and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen includes both a microwave and a dishwasher. The living room features a large closet with plenty of storage space, four levels’ worth of shelving, along with an in-unit washer/dryer! The bathroom is modern-tiled with a bathtub. Both bedrooms are queen-sized with lots of closet space and beautiful park views.

Rent is $1,975/month, plus electric and internet. Heat and hot water are included. There’s no central air, but there is an AC unit in the living room. The landlord is cool; the super is very accessible and helpful with any problems. No pets are permitted.

I’m a 30-year-old trans woman who’s lived here for a year and absolutely loves the apartment and the neighborhood. My work schedule tends to fluctuate, but generally, I work until the early evening three nights a week and into the night twice a week, along with occasional freelance work in the apartment. I’m big on cleanliness (without going overboard), honesty, and communication. Not much can bother me, I’m a real roll-with-the-punches kind of gal, but the sooner any problems are addressed, the better.

I have no problem with having people over, so long as no one’s too loud. In my free time, I enjoy walking, exploring the city, reading (mostly non-fiction, but always interested in any fiction recs), watching sports (Yankees/Giants/Islanders/Liberty/Sirens), listening to music (I have a ticket from Phoebe Bridgers’ surprise show at MSG on the fridge, to give you an idea), and diving into trivia and random statistics. I’m always up for exploring new places and trying new things.
