Room for Rent in Southern Astoria - $1200

I have a large room available for rent in Southern Astoria. My roommate of 15 years is moving out to live with her boyfriend, so I’m looking for someone to take over her room.

The bedroom is 8.5'x12' and comes with a wall-mounted TV, air conditioning, and a large, extra-deep closet. The shared space includes a decent-sized kitchen, a full bathroom, and a large living room. There’s also a front room that will probably be set up with a dining table.

The apartment is in a great neighborhood with plenty going on. It's two short blocks from the N/W train and three stops from Manhattan. There is also an R station a ten minute walk from the apartment. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, a large movie theater, and several grocery stores and laundromats within walking distance (there is no laundry in the building).

I’m a quiet, single guy who works full-time. I mostly use the shared space to cook and watch soccer, particularly Gotham FC games, so I’m not looking for a party-house situation. I’m hoping to find someone who is respectful, clean, and easy to live with. I’d ideally like a female roommate, but I’m open to the right person. The apartment is LGBTQ-friendly.

Unfortunately, no pets are allowed in the building. Guests are fine.

Rent is $1,200/month with a $1,200 security deposit. Wi-Fi and streaming services are included, and we would split the electric bill. The room is available 9/5.
