Looking for a Roommate to Apartment Hunt Together

Hi everyone!

My current roommate is moving back to California, so I'm looking for a female roommate to apartment hunt with for a 2-bedroom starting November 1st.

Preferred neighborhoods:
📍 Brooklyn: Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, Prospect Heights or nearby neighborhoods
📍 Queens: Astoria, LIC

A little about me:
I'm a 33-year-old woman originally from Poland and I've been living in NYC for the past two years. I work at a bank in Midtown and commute to the office 3–4 days a week.

Outside of work, I love staying active - I climb regularly and go to the gym. I'm also into all kinds of crafty hobbies like knitting and embroidery and you'll often find me browsing local bookstores or libraries or spending time with the small but wonderful group of friends I've built here in the city.

I usually travel to Europe twice a year to visit my family and I also try to explore different parts of the US whenever I can, so you'll have plenty of quiet time in the apartment while I'm away.

At home, I'm very clean, organized and respectful of shared spaces. I'm definitely not the type to bring the party home. I like having a peaceful, cozy place to unwind after work.

One more option: While my preference is to find a new apartment together and create a home from scratch, I'm also open to renewing the lease for my current apartment in Astoria if we end up being a great roommate match but can't find a place that checks all the boxes for both of us.

The available bedroom is a large flex room with a small private balcony. The apartment has:
* AC unit in every room
* Dishwasher
* In-building laundry room
* Gym
* About a 15-minute walk to the N/W train

The rent would be $1,575 per person, plus utilities (electricity and Wi-Fi, no more than $100 per person a month). The bedroom comes unfurnished, but if you're interested in keeping any of the furniture, my current roommate would be happy to sell it.

It's genuinely been a wonderful place to live, so I wanted to keep it as a backup option. Also, all of the living room furniture belongs to me, so it could easily be moved into a new apartment if we decide to find a different place together.
