Solo room avail in 3 bed/1ba - Astoria - F only

We are two females in their late 20s currently looking for another female roommate to move into the third room in our 3 bed/1 bath apartment in Astoria (aka mamdani country). This would be for a July 1st move in and we would sign a 1 year lease together. This place was renovated a year ago right before we moved in so it’s very well-maintained, and it gets a good amount of natural light throughout.

The apartment is a 6 minute walk from the N/W line and a 20 minute train ride into Manhattan. Close by are great coffee shops, a bodega, and a grocery store. We are also a 10 minute walk from busier streets with more bars, restaurants, etc.

The bedroom is 148.7 square ft and unfurnished, with a small closet. It is big enough for a queen sized bed. Rent is $1106, security deposit is $1106, and we are also asking for a third of the brokers fee that we had to pay when we originally moved in a year ago, which is $1149. Wifi is $13.30 a month per person, and coned is usually up to $50 a month per person. You would also need to go through standard credit/bank statement/employment checks with our landlord.

We are looking for female + non-binary professionals between the ages of 26-30 that are clean, laid back, friendly, and responsible with rent. The two of us are friends from college who like to hang out in the living room to watch tv and listen to music together, but we are pretty quiet overall and only have friends over occasionally. About me (current roommate): I’m from the midwest and have been living in Astoria for over a year and a half now. I have a hybrid job in TV marketing so I am in office 3 days a week while wfh-ing Mon/Fridays. I love checking out all the fun cafes in Astoria, eating out with friends and seeing movies.

I work in sales in the food industry but am currently unemployed (I left my job at the end of last year due to health reasons). I recently started my job search up again and split my time between the apartment/working in coffee shops. I’m also an artist and enjoy painting and reading.
