Unfurnished room in Astoria starting May 15

I’m looking for someone to take over my (unfurnished) room in a 3 bedroom, 1 bath apartment in the heart of Astoria, Queens starting May 15. The apartment is 3 blocks from the 30th Ave N/W station. Rent is $930 a month plus utilities and a monthly cleaning fee. The lease is month-to-month, but the current roommates prefer someone who can commit to at least 1 year. You will sign an agreement with the current roommates. The roommates are looking for someone who works a typical 9-5–not ideal for someone who works from home 100% of the time. Roommates are also looking for someone who keeps the common areas neat, pays bills on time, and cultivates a peaceful space. Please don’t bring the party home. All of the roommates kind of keep to ourselves but socialize/interact when we're home.

The apartment is a 1 floor walk up and the only apartment in the building. It has a cozy, lived in feel and though it doesn’t have up-to-date appliances, the communal living spaces are large. The bedroom is spacious and it can easily fit a full-sized bed, desk, dresser, etc. The room also has a large closet. The room is away from the other two rooms, which is nice for privacy. The room will come unfurnished.

The location: A laundromat is 2 doors down, grocery stores 1-3 blocks away, and there are plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops, and bars within walking distance. You’re a block from 30th Ave and all it has to offer. Manhattan is about a 15-20 minute ride from the 30th Ave train station.

About the other two roommates:
Andrea is an actor and worker in the arts in her early 40’s, with a busy schedule, who sometimes works from home, but travels often.

Rebekah is an office worker in Manhattan and is out Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. She enjoys cooking and spending time at home in the evenings and weekends.

First month's rent and a security deposit are required. The first month’s (May) rent will be prorated.
