Room for rent in Astoria

Im looking for someone to rent one of the rooms in a 3 bedroom apt, located on the second floor of a house in a quiet residential area. A large unfurnished bedroom with a lot of sunlight. Approx. 8ft x 13ft with a good size closet. You would be living with a cat and two males- one works in sales and I make custom cakes. We are in our 30’s, chill guys, respectful and get along easily.

The apartment is on the quieter side and shared spaces are expected to be kept clean. We clean up after ourselves and follow a biweekly cleaning routine that helps ensure shared responsibilities are evenly distributed. A few blocks from the N/W/R/M train stations. Lot’s of restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood, gyms, grocery stores and laundry all close by. The apt has high-speed Fios internet that is included with the rent. The utilities and shared household supplies (paper goods, cleaning supplies, trash bags) are split evenly. We use the Splitster app to easily manage the shared expenses.

The ideal fit is someone who is responsible, a healthy communicator, clean, energy conscious. A good match values shared responsibility, respectful, and LGBTQ+ friendly. No parties, couples, smoking, long-term guests, or loud noise after 9 PM (landlord’s rules).

This is a month-to-month lease with a preference for a long term housemate. The room will be available starting March 1st. Move-in requires $1,000 for the first month’s rent plus a $1,000 security deposit. At least one month of recent pay stubs is required to apply.
