Furnished Room by Astoria Park

Furnished private bedroom available in a three-bedroom apartment in Old Astoria, Queens, at $1,300 a month. We're looking for a six-month stay, and if it works out for everyone we're glad to extend.

The room is fully furnished with good natural light and ample storage — you can move in with a suitcase. You'd share the bathroom with just one other roommate, and the apartment has a large kitchen and comfortable common space.

The location is hard to beat. It's a ten-minute walk to the N and W trains and to the NYC Ferry, whose Astoria stop connects to 90th Street, 34th Street, and Wall Street in Manhattan. Astoria Park is one minute away, and there are several good coffee shops nearby.

About the household: two easygoing men who keep the place clean and respect each other's space. It's a calm, low-drama apartment — people keep their own schedules and no one is looking over your shoulder. Recent roommates have been UN interns and graduate students, and that has consistently been a great fit.

The one thing we ask is that this isn't a party apartment. Guests are fine; we just keep the place quiet.
