Large room available in 2bd/1ba Astoria apartment!

I?m leaving my apartment in Astoria and am looking for someone to take my place. It?s a 2br, 1ba, super close to 30th ave with restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. The neighborhood is very safe, friendly, and an easy commute to Manhattan. The other resident is a mid-twenties doctoral student. We are looking for for an LGBTQ+ friendly individual who is willing to adhere to guidelines for combatting the pandemic (mask wearing outside the home, hand washing, etc.).

The bedroom will be unfurnished. Common spaces will be furnished, but furnishings have changed slightly since the photos were taken.

Available September 1st, but move-in date can be negotiable if an earlier date is desired. Lease renews June 1; there will be the possibility to stay on if desired. Landlord requires proof of employment, credit score, and 1 month security deposit to move in.

Rent: $1075/month
Utilities: Around $30/month or so per person in winter. More in summer depending on how much AC you use (we don?t pay for heat).
Internet: $24.99 per person per month
Laundry: No laundry in-building, but there is a nice coin laundromat at the end of the block.
Groceries: Key Food on 30th Ave (7 min walk), plus some fancy organic places nearby
Pharmacy: Rite Aid, next to the key food
Subway: Equidistant between the Astoria Boulevard and 30th Ave stops on the N/W line - both about a 7-8 min walk

The apartment:
* Third floor walk up
* Newly redone kitchen and bathroom with new appliances, etc.
* New carpeting in the rest of the spaces
* There is a small two-person table and chairs in the living room, plus a couch

The bedroom:
* The bigger of the two bedrooms -fits a double bed, nightstand, dresser, bookcase, desk and chair, and an armchair
