Big sun soaked room in 2/1 in the heart of Astoria

I am renting the second bedroom in my first floor two bedroom & one bathroom apartment. The room is available immediately. The apartment is located on 33rd St and Broadway in Astoria. The building is a beautiful and well maintained pre-war four story walk up. I have a two year old dog named Pico and a three year old cat named Mowgli. They are very sweet and well behaved. I am starting my second year in the apartment and my last roommate just finished their one year internship and left NYC.

The room available is 13' long and 10' wide. It is the street side of the building so it gets plenty of light through the 64" window. The closet to the bedroom is by the entrance of the apartment and is very spacious. The room currently has a bed, dresser, blinds, curtains and window unit air condition. If needed I can add a bed frame and a night stand to make it move in ready. If you have your furniture then I can get rid of what I have in the bedroom.

The living room, bathroom, and kitchen are fully furnished and stocked. My apartment is tastefully furnished and designed. I have a new couch that I am having custom made arrive at the end of April. I am also in the process of painting accent walls in all rooms. I have a Dyson air purifier, Dyson blade-less fan/heater that make a huge difference in the air quality and temperature in the apartment. Spectrum internet & cable, Con Edison and renter insurance come out to $150 each a month.

I am 32 years old and I am pretty busy all the time with the company that I started and my social life. I am originally from Miami, Fl and I have been in NYC for four and a half years now. I am outgoing and very active. I love hanging out in my neighborhood and also love going out in Williamsburg. I tend to eat out a lot at the many great restaurants but I am starting to cook more. I am open to someone looking for a short term or long term lease. I am looking for a roommate that I can get along with and who will bring good energy and vibes to the apartment! I am open to other pets on a case by case basis. I am also open to living with a couple and the rent would be $150 more per month and the utilities split among us.

The lease terms will be outlined in a formal sub lease that all parties will sign. To move in I will require first months rent and one month of rent security deposit.
