For Survivors of Domestic Abuse

I have a newly renovated and secluded 8 bedroom home near Bowie State University campus that I'm opening specifically as a transitional home exclusively for women and children survivors of domestic violence and abuse. The home is large and beautiful and I'm making lots of ongoing improvements. The goal is to create a pleasant environment of patience and peace as domestic abuses survivors rebuild their lives. Transitional home agreements can last from 6 months to 2 years. Three of the rooms can easily accommodate small children and the room rents range from $550 to $750. There is no sidewalk to get to public transportation but you could use a service like Uber or Lyft or potentially be shuttled by another site resident to the University campus just a one minute drive away. Common area furnishings will be provided and bedroom furnishings are potentially available for those who need it. No credit check is required but a reliable way to pay the rent is a must. All utilities including WiFi are included. I am also working on other wraparound support services in areas like personal counseling, on-site child care, primary medical care, job/career placement and more for those who have the need.
