Quiet Neighborhood with Two Rooms in Hillsboro

I have two furnished rooms in a 4 bedroom house. My girlfriend and I live here and often work from home so one of us is usually around, I also have partial custody of my 16 year old son so he's here about half the time. There's also 3 cats, 1 small dog and 1 very small dog so I'm not really looking for more animals but maybe something small and well behaved would be ok. Obviously, it's important that you like pets. I have progressive opinions when it comes to politics and social issues and prefer to live with people with similar view points. When I do go out it's usually to concerts, festivals, snowboarding, bowling and similar things. I like my home to be a friendly, family/community orientated environment. I keep the place pretty tidy, have a service that comes in once a month for the deep cleaning and expect people to clean up after themselves in the meantime. There's a coffee shop on main street in downtown Hillsboro that's nearby where we could initially meet.

Just a little more about me. I grew up in Colorado, moved to Phoenix for a couple years after high school then moved to the Portland area in the mid 90's and have been here ever since living pretty much everywhere between Hillsboro and SE Portland. I have a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from PSU. I specialize in AI and Computer Vision and worked at Intel for about 20 years in various software engineering roles and just started a new role at Hitachi as an AI engineer. My girlfriend is from Mumbai, has a PhD. and works in the energy sector.

The house is about half a mile from the last max stop on the blue line.

The price includes utilities and some household items like hand soap, dish soap, food condiments and some other stuff but I do expect you to get your own laundry detergent and shower supplies etc.

I require people to complete a background check at ApplyConnect before extending a lease and I deduct the cost from the first month's rent. I look for indicators that you pay your bills and don't have a history of violence or dishonesty.
