1 room available upstairs in SE Portland

One room, one bath and a large shared walk-in closet available for $712/mth + utilities (~$135/mth). We are tenants ourselves and are entrusted by the landlord’s to arrange tenants for the upstairs.

The house is in the Mill Park neighborhood near SE 122nd and Stark. Entrance to the upstairs space is a stairwell in the center of the house.

There is a shared walk-in closet and locks are installed on all doors of the rooms upstairs.

Move in costs: first month's rent plus a half month's deposit ($355 + $713 = $975 total).

-Laundry on site in the basement.
-Basement and garage space for a small amount of storage and multiple functions or uses.
-Good sized backyard with plenty of gardening space/projects in motion.
-Driveway fits two cars and there is plenty of street parking in front of the house. We make sure to leave one space open in the driveway for those living upstairs.
-Less than a mile from Blue and Green line Max.
-73 Bus picks up two blocks away on 122nd. -20 Bus picks up on Stark.
-Very close to 205 and 84 freeways.

The private space: Upstairs has gorgeous views of the surrounding area and plenty of cross breeze during the summer.
The Room has windows facing north/east.
Full shared bathroom with one other tenant.
A walk-in closet connects the two rooms but it is separated by a divider and locked doors.

Shared spaces: Kitchen, dining room, yard, garage and basement

The kitchen and dining room are both shared for the entire house. Upstairs roommates split the main fridge. We also have a mini fridge and a chest freezer for our family. The kitchen freezer is for the upstairs and we recommend getting mini fridges for any extra food you like to keep.

The main floor living room and portion of the basement is set up primarily as a Montessori style kids space. We are open to negotiating the use of these shared spaces. The 2nd story is entirely private for the two tenants. (Keep the door closed)

Who we are: We are a family of five, Patrick and Abigail, and our three young children. Patrick is in school for humanitarian services and works at Langbaan. Abigail works from home.

Upstairs in the other room is Gina who works very early in construction and tends to keep to herself.

We are looking to rent to those interested in a kid friendly environment with a general sensitivity regarding noise when the little ones are sleeping.

Because we have small children we ask that our tenants help us maintain a relatively ‘family’ environment. Generally speaking this is not a party house, upstairs is the only truly private area of the house. The rest of the house will have children in it throughout the day.
