Hello! Opportunity for a person looking for housing with a flexible schedule to trade daily dog walks for discounted rent starting May 1st! East Portland near 122nd & Halsey

Ends up being around $500 rent if you do all the days, but I have a dog walker from Rover who can cover days you can’t.

Current roommate does weekend days only. She leaves June 1st!

I work Fr-Tues and would love to find a new roommate who would be available to walk my amazing adorable pup Maybe around 1pm those days for $10/walk taken off rent.

The room is 12x10 (larger of the two bedrooms) and is $750/month + utilities (not including discount for dog walking).

We will also be looking for a 3rd roommate June 1st as well together, as both of my housemates are moving on to different adventures after a lovely year together. It’s tough as the homeowner to share this space with such great people and to watch them fly the coop and have to begin again… but also a great opportunity to get to make new connections and more memories

Hoping to find someone who…

• Loves animals but doesn’t have pets

• Is good at cleaning and communicating

• Has a great sense of humor

• Is medium social and would be down to hang and have parties on occasion

• Eats mostly vegetarian

• Is employed full time and pays rent/utilities on time without needing a reminder

• Is at least a little into nature/plants

About me:

• I work full time as a seasonal worker for a local plant nursery, and in the busy spring season I am working on my days off as well doing my own gardening/landscape design business!

• Am a DJ and like go out occasionally, a few times a month to shows

• Like to make people laugh and be entertained

• Am generous, kind and supportive to those I care about

• Do not take BS from anyone, especially men with the audacity!

• Usually in a good mood and want to hear about your day

• Love the crap out of my two fur babies and my garden

• Enjoy hiking with my dog, gardening, DJing, making food with people, skiing, dancing, swimming, paddling, yoga, biking and more!

• Very clean, and like to keep my home looking and feeling nice

• Midcentury home built in 1955 that I keep up, slowly getting better every year!

• In a quiet neighborhood with tall conifers and lovely neighbors, we have a nice little community going!

• Near several parks, one which I take my dog two a few blocks away (John Luby park)

• Filled with vintage everything (excellent mug collection!!)

• Clean and well kept, I vacuum weekly in common areas since the pets shed and that’s my responsibility not yours!

About the pets:

• Maybe is an almost 3 year old 30lb lab/mini Shepard mix. She is very loving, cuddly, sweet and very well trained! She doesn’t bark much, doesn’t go in the house, doesn’t destroy things, is essentially perfect in every way. You will love her

• Baloo is a chubby tabby who is very talkative, and will be asking for pets and cuddle time with you immediately. He will sometimes sleep with you at night if you let him! He does meow for food in the morning when you wake up if you’re up before me, but otherwise he is also the perfect cat. He never bites or scratches, goes in his litter box, and is just a sweet dumb idiot who I love.
