Opening at kid friendly community house

Ellis Street Community House is calling in one adult or one adult with a kid to join us in our adventures in home-making and community living. The house is 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, on a 1/4 acre. The house features a large kitchen upstairs, auxiliary kitchen downstairs, and spacious common areas. It is 3 blocks from Powell Butte and one block from the Springwater Corridor. We are currently 4 adults living in the house.

The householder Tisa is expecting the house’s first child at the end of June. We are looking especially for someone who has a child full or part time and is interested in co-child rearing, but we’d be open to anyone who is kid-friendly and community oriented.

We have BIG dreams for this space of growing gardens, building community, and cultivating practices that help us survive and thrive deep into spacetime. We currently host potlucks and other events about once a month, and meet for dinner together once a week. We are looking to become more interconnected, magical, conscious, and resilient through living with others and developing a spirited community hub.

Looking for folks interested in moving in around May 1st with flexibility to move in later for the right person. Upstairs bedroom is available for $800 per month for one adult, or $900 per month for one adult and one child.

We’re looking for well grounded people who communicate directly, honor boundaries, cook food at home, and want to have gatherings, do projects, and share meals together. We are unable to live with people who smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or use drugs daily, or are unable to regularly participate in house activities such as house meetings and cleaning parties.
