The apartment:
The third bedroom is available in this cozy apartment in Kerns, SE Portland for the right, preferably female, roommate. We have in-unit laundry, central heating, dishwasher, internet, room includes a closet, etc. Street parking with some availability in the complex parking lot. The unit also has a large living room area and basement storage for a fee. The complex is pet-friendly, but I’m not looking for a roommate with pets at the moment.

The location:
The place is one block from Belmont, and close to multiple grocery stores. It’s also a quick walk to quite a few restaurants, bars, parks, stores, and a cemetery. It’s a walkable area with a blend of neighborhood and city life.

The roommate:
Mid twenties female with a busy schedule, who needs a lot of alone time. Into music, reading, relaxing, and spending time outside.

You:
Looking for respectful, social, kind roommate who is responsible about rent and bills.

When:
Apartment is available for viewing dependent on schedule and an interview prior to the viewing. I would ideally like to sign the lease again with someone as soon as possible, early February ideally
Financial responsibilities:
Rent: $730.00 (I am occupying both other bedrooms, so I am paying more than half of the rent)
Utilities are included except for electricity and internet
Electricity tends to be around $60.00-$80.00 each, but can vary depending on the season.’
Internet: I am waiting to get internet until I have a roommate but I think I’m going to go with Quantum Fiber, which will be about $30.00 each.
Renters insurance: Insurance will be required, I use Lemonade personally. My policy is about $13.00, but you will need to get your own plan.
Approximate financial responsibility: $855.00

Interview:
I’d like to have a short facetime meeting to see if it could be a good match, and then an in-person meeting somewhere public to go over details etc. before a viewing of the unit.

The complex will require your full name, phone number, email address, proof of 3 years verified rental history, proof of income, and two and a half months rent, which would be about $1,950.00. They also require proof of at least 6 months with an employer before the move-in and signing process.
