Private one-bedroom plus an open-space living room in a shared 2-bed, 1-bath eco-conscious house located in the quietest Santa Clara neighborhood of Eugene! Move-in date the first week of October. Looking for a housemate (no couples, please).

💰 Cost & Lease Terms
Monthly Rent: $1,000
Security Deposit: $1,000
Utilities/Shared Expenses: 50% of utilities (Wi-Fi, water, electric, gas) + 50% of shared household products (toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, etc.). Trash/recycling is paid by the owner.
Lease Duration: 6-month lease, transitioning to month-to-month afterward.

Requirements: Verifiable income, rental references, and a pass a background check.

Pets: landlord is willing to consider a well-behaved dog, as long as their human is responsible for their needs (especially keeping the yard landmine free). Pet subject to interview/vibe check ;-)

Your Space: Fully unfurnished private bedroom with a large closet (built-in shelves) plus a dedicated open-space living room for your exclusive use.

Shared Space: 1 shared bathroom, kitchen with a gas stove and dishwasher, and a laundry room/converted garage with tons of storage. There is also a large professional grade greenhouse if you are into plants!

Property Highlights: Surrounded by a large organic garden and pond (maintained monthly by the owner), fire pit, solar skylights, off-street parking, and a woodstove (for power outages only).

👤 Roommate & Household Vibe
The Roommate: A kind, mellow 46-year-old female who works a Monday–Friday day job. She is a homebody who bakes, cooks meat, listens to podcasts/music with headphones, and watches TV. She is alcohol-free, and hopes you are at most a light drinker. Open to low-key weekend game or movie nights when we're both up to being social.

House Rules & Culture: Progressive, liberal, and highly eco-conscious.

Strict Requirements: All-natural cleaning products, toiletries, and detergents must be used. Let's keep it "Glade Plug-In" free! Utilities to be conserved (e. g., keeping the thermostat in the 60s during winter).

Quiet Hours: Quiet time is required after 10:00 PM (early to bed/early to rise schedule). No weekday overnight guests or excessive partner visits.

Substances: No hard drugs. Alcohol-free or occasional light drinkers are heavily preferred. Smoking, vaping, are strictly outdoors in a designated paved area.
